Main Product of frozen food industry is Fish. Most of the fishes are processed frozen, chilled, salted, dehydrated and crushed. There are about 148 no. of shore based export oriented fish processing plants in Dhaka. By the initiatives of public and public cooperation, 10 major products are exported from Bangladesh. Industry Prospect

Frozen Food is the second largest source of export from Bangladesh which earned 526.45 million US$ in the year 2016-17. Commercial culture of Frozen Fish & shrimp increased rapidly in the coastal belt of Bangladesh and it went through several stages of processing. During the last ten years, Bangladesh has earned international credibility by responding to the food-safety and quality requirements of its destinations, mostly, the US and the EU countries. Uninterrupted investment has enabled the sector to progress in the teeth of competition from other countries.
